So, the other night we were watching the season finale of The Simpsons, where Ned started dating Edna Krabapple, then at the end, they told you to go vote. Well, I went and voted for them to stay together, they would help balance each other out. She would help him loosen up a bit, he’d get her to stop drinking, ect. But also? Bart’s teacher living next door? SO MANY NEW STORY-LINES GUYS!

So then I downloaded the facebook image, then I got to looking at it and thought, this would make an awesome cross-stitch.

So. Here.

So.

Joanns is still processing my order. I just talked to my friend who ordered from them forever ago, and she told me that it took them 2 weeks to process her small order of 2 things. I’ve ordered from them once before now, and it never took this long. But they have good prices, and I can get coupons from RetailMeNot.com for it (like the free shipping I just got!)

I think though, from now on, I’ll go with Charles Craft. They have more colors in the fabric. I just need to find a good cheap place for floss and stock up.

After 2 hours, I worked out the pattern. Unfortunately, it doesn’t match what I’m stitching now, so I’m putting that off to the side, possibly tossing it or removing the stitches (which sucks!) and reusing the fabric.

But, I do have a shipment coming in from Joann’s sometime this month, because it always takes forever to get anything from Joann’s, but they have good prices.

So I can start stitching the new pattern tonight, and possibly have it down by Monday. Then I get to show everyone!

Ugh. Messed up on this damn pattern. Guess I made it when I was tired or something. Gonna fix it tonight, and I guess the first one will just be a learning one since I have the wording done already, not going to sit here and take all the damn stitches out. Really need to buy ink soon so this doesn’t happen again, Totally would have spotted these mistakes on paper.

Blah.

Right now since I don’t have any orders for the Star Wars cross-stitch, I’m working on one that I’ve had in my head for a while. Finally got the pattern worked out, the wording is stitched, and now I’m working on the best part, the boarder.

No pictures until it’s done though! After it’s done it’s going in the shop along with the pattern!

First Cross Stitch in almost 10 years.

So, I started cross stitching when I was very young, my mother did it and she taught me. We did the stamped cross stitch, I never thought I’d be doing counted. This project, was the first counted cross stitch I did, and the first time I started cross stitching in 10 years.

The past couple months I’ve been itching to do some cross stitch, and I knew I had to make something for my sister, and she loves Star Wars. I looked around, and couldn’t find a pattern I wanted to work on. I wanted something simple, I mean, it’s my first CCS. I found the saying and the light sabers in different places, so… I shoved them together, and it fucking turned out brilliant if I do say so myself.

I then needed to make money (I still do) so I decided I’d make a couple and sell them.

So far, I’ve sold one.

After the first one I played around with the pattern until I came up with something I really liked. This one sold not too long ago. I still have 4 left, and, you can custimize the light saber color! How cool is that?

You can buy you’re very own over at: http://kelseysgaragesale.storenvy.com   and if you’re crafty yourself, you can buy the pattern I made for it!
